Society likes to keep grief in the shadows.

You’re told just to “move on” after losing someone you love. “They wouldn’t want you to be sad” is repeated over and over.

The five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are actually non-linear and overall, very negative. I want you to know there is no time limit on grief and there is no one right away to process it.

You’re not broken and it’s okay to be sad.

I want you to know there is hope and just because their body gave out doesn’t mean they are lost.

Love makes them eternal.

I created The Divine Creative Grief Method: The Five Remedies for Grief to share the tools that have helped me ease the pain of my own grief.

I lost my mother Janel in 1993 when I was ten years old. As a child I wasn’t able to fully process that loss so I went along with my life with the pain bubbling under the surface.

I dealt with depression, anger and a new feeling known to me now as anxiety. I felt different from all the other kids at school all the while missing my mother.

As I became an adult I turned to drugs and alcohol to numb my pain but when I turned 32, the age surpassing the one my mother ever reached. I quit drinking and my grief had to be dealt with. It was affecting my relationships and career.

In 2016 I lost my childhood hero who helped me deal with the loss of my mother, Prince. His death made the grief I was already dealing with so much worse. I turned to therapy, including EMDR, until I decided I got the tools I needed.

I couldn’t turn back to the bottle so I had to discover new tools to help me cope plus I remembered the things I did as a child to help me deal with the pain such as dance, writing and making art. The new tools I discovered as an adult are my gratitude practice and learning how to talk to spirit so I could feel connected to my mother again.

The Divine Creative Grief Method came to me one day at Lake Michigan, the same lake I lived near in Escanaba, Michigan with my mother in 1992.

My hope is to help alleviate the emotional pain and make you feel connected with your loved one that you miss so very much.

About Me

Hi, I’m Cassandra! I’m a Cancer Sun, Libra Moon, Sagittarius Rising.

I’m a multipassionate artist with extensive training in design, dance, Pilates and all things magical like tarot, astrology and the spirit world. Because I lost my mom, Janel, when I was 10 years old I spent my adulthood finding ways to establish a spiritual relationship with her.

I want others to have this kind of connection too so I decided to create offers that not only connect with the spirit of others, but to your own spirit as well.
